Is This Supposed To Be Fun
Today in Mildura was hot with a dusty, blustery wind. Not conducive to doing very much so we just pottered about the van. I did some odd jobs that needed doing on the van. Nina got a little bit of crocheting done. Emily rested. Nana did a bit of reading.
Feeling hot, sweaty and dusty I didn’t really feel like standing in the dusty wind cooking dinner. So I suggested that we could all go to dinner at a local pub and get a bit of respite from the weather. Well mum was having none of it. She didn’t like pubs they are too noisy. She didn’t want to eat out she would stay in the van. We gently tried to suggest that we would like to go but we have a duty of care to her and can’t leave her by herself. We persisted and she said she would come under sufferance but would not eat anything. At which point I said “Fine. We won’t go then. I hope you’re happy”, then took Maggie and stormed off.
I went for a long walk with her, leaving Nina behind to deal with it. Now who’s selfish? Harry was beside himself because of the argument and me going off, so Nina had that to deal with as well. Good job Rossco.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse. When I got back we got a phone call from Ally. One of her best friends had passed away. Terrible news to top off a crappy day.
Been reading the blogs ( and enjoying yr style Ross ? ) and thinking about you all – both those out on the adventure and those at home… hope you are all ok. Don’t get too exhausted !
